 World Vision sponsorship

The students at Glendal have been sponsoring children in need through World Vision Australia since 2001. To date we have assisted two children from Africa, one from Vietnam and now we sponsor Anjali, a little girl from India.

Each year the students raise the funds needed, send letters and small gifts and in turn receive letters and photographs from our sponsored child. The SRC passes on any new information to the classes which have a poster of our child and we arrange for lessons from the World Vision education team.

Our students to develop a social conscience and this is then applied in a practical manner by which all the students have the opportunity to learn about lives that are quite different to their own, and to experience the personal satisfaction and pride achieved by making a life-changing difference to a less fortunate child.
